Weeknight warriors
The Higgins Armory Sword Guild meets every Tuesday evening at the Worcester museum to translate and act out the moves laid out in medieval fight manuals. The participation of women is not some newfangled invention: The earliest surviving manual, the 13th-century Walpurgis Fechtbuch, describes a female fighter.
