Prospect Renaissance
Faire 2003
This was our second
time performing at the Prospect Renaissance Faire-continuing our
adventures with King Carl and Sandra of Arc. This year we were given
our our own square of green near the town library and ran our bounty
game. Despite the wet weather, we had a wonderful time and the faire
patrons seemed to think so as well. We performed "David and Goliath",
Hansel and Gretel" and the popular "St. George and the Dragon." All
day we did sword demos and gave lessons. And we also publicly
previewed our full fire act. Casey Lee referred to our first day as
the "World's safest fire act" as the mist limited how well items
stayed lit. On the second day we contended with another element-wind.
We often had to veer away from the audience for safety. But the shows
went on-even in full rain. At one point "Hansel" complained to his
woodcutter father,
"if you were a better woodcuttter, we'd have money to fix this LEAK"
and that at least made us laugh. Thank again to the friendly folks at
Prospect for inviting us back our our sophmore year.
